Theme of the retreat:

Accompanying a dying person
and accompanying people in mourning. 

In order to accompany people at the end of their lives and those who are bereaved, it is fundamental that the accompanying person deals with the different issues that death brings.

It is on this principle that we will move forward in this retreat.

During this retreat, we will address the following issues:

• Bereavement, living through bereavement, freeing ourselves from the suffering associated with bereavement. Greeting and letting go of the dying persons and the persons who have died. 
• Reconciling with one's existence, with life, with one's choices, with oneself, and with whom it is necessary to reconcile. Forgiveness, making peace, being in peace.
• The fears we have during our lifetime, our fears in front of death and our fear of dying.
• Attachment and our ability to let go, to abandon ourselves, to confide.
• Greeting the loved ones from whom the dying person is separating.
• Our vision of death.
• Our relationship with the unknown and vacuity.
• Compassion.
• Consciousness.
• The different phases a dying person goes through in the transition from life to death.

Program:

30 June 2024:

From 14:00: arrival of the participants.
From 15:00 to 18:30: course, meditations.
At 18:30: Dinner.
 

From 1st to 6th July 2024:

This is a typical day:
From 07:30 to 08:30: Breakfast.
From 09:00 to 13:00: course, meditations.
From 13:00 to 15:00: lunch and break.
From 15:00 to 18:30: course, meditations.
18.30: dinner.

The proposed typical day may be subject to change.
Some days, weather permitting,
we will probably do the course outdoors.
 

7th July 2024:

From 07:30 to 08:30: breakfast.
From 09:00 to 12:00: course, meditations.
From 12:00: departure.

Place:

In Ticino, in the region of Malcantone,
in the middle of nature,
in a quaint little village called Miglieglia.
